NUAMES: Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science
NUAMES is a publicly-funded charter school partnered with Weber State University. Students who complete a year there have the opportunity to become an early-college student at Weber State.
NUAMES is a STEM school that requires all students to complete additional engineering credits as part of the graduation requirements. The very first year, students are trained in engineering design and in using Autodesk Inventor, a 3D modeling program. The coursework is more rigorous than typical high school work and there are higher expectations for the students who choose to enroll in the program.
